New Haven, Conn. - The Villanova men's golf team finished in seventh place (617, +28) at the Yale University Spring Invitational Saturday.
The event took place at the Yale Old Course.
Senior Luke Waggoner finished tied for ninth carding a 36-hole 72-77-149. Lucas Trim went 78-74-152 Saturday and finished tied for 22nd overall.
Andrew MacMillan placed tied for 35th with a 79-76-155 (+15) on the day.
Zach Egermayer shot an 80-83-163 and finished tied for 58th while Will Byrne placed tied for 65th with an 85-81-166 (+26).
Yale's "B" team won the tournament shooting a 594 (+11) total. Bucknell, Dartmouth, Yale, Cornell, Hartford, Villanova, St. John's, Brown, Fordham, Fairfield, Sacred Heart, and Central Connecticut round out the field.
Dartmouth's John Lazor won the event shooting a 36-hole 73-70-143 (+3).
Villanova will return to play this Monday as they return home to play in the Finegan Invitational at the Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne, Pa.
