Gladwyne, Pa. - The Villanova men's golf team wrapped up their third event of the week Monday with a fifth place finish (598, +30) at the LaSalle hosted Finegan Invitational.

The event took place at the Philadelphia Country Club.

Zach Egermayer had his best finish of the year tied for seventh carding a 36-hole 74-72-146 (+4). Andrew MacMillan had another strong performance finishing tied for ninth with a 77-70-147 (+5) on the day.

Senior Luke Waggoner turned in another solid card Monday going 73-78-151 (+8) and finishing tied for 17th overall.

Lucas Trim went 75-79-154 (+12) Monday and finished tied for 31st overall while Will Byrne placed tied for 45th with a 78-79-157 (+15).

Drexel and Navy were both tied after 36 holes and went to a playoff to determine the winner. Navy would beat out Drexel in two holes to win the invitational.

Drexel, Lehigh, Lafayette, Villanova, LaSalle, Rider, Monmouth, Central Connecticut, Iona, Niagara, Bucknell, Alvernia, and St. Francis (NY) rounded out the field.

Drexel's Christopher Crawford won the event shooting a 36-hole 68-70-138 (-4). He was the only player under par for the event.

Villanova will not return to play until April 30-May 3 when they travel to Okatie, S.C. for the 2016 BIG EAST Championships. The event will be held at the Callawassie Island Club.
