Hellertown, Pa. - The Villanova men's golf team currently sits in third place after 18 holes at the Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invite, a tournament hosted by Lafayette University at the Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown, Pa.

Villanova turned in an 18-hole total of 310 (+29).

Villanova's Andrew MacMillan and Lucas Trim each turned in first-round cards of 76 (+5) Sunday. Both sit in a five way tie for 10th overall.

Senior Luke Waggoner shot an 18-hole 77 (+6) Sunday and sits tied for 15th overall with his teammate Zach Egermayer (77, +6) who is competing as an individual.

Andy Butler opened up the tournament +10 Sunday after an 18-hole score of 81 while Will Byrne went +12 (83) on Sunday. Butler sits tied for 44th overall while Byrne is tied for 68th.

Villanova trails second place Lafayette (306, +22) by only four strokes. Fordham sits atop the leader board Sunday after shooting an 18-hole 303 (+19).

Lehigh, St. Peter's, Monmouth, Binghamton, La Salle, UMass-Lowell, Manhattan, Bucknell, Iona, Central Connecticut, Hofstra, Canisius, Niagara, Colgate, Lafayette (B) and St. Francis round out the fourth to 19th place spots.

Fordham's Matt Schiller sits atop the player leader board as he shot an even par 71 Sunday.

High winds were an issue Sunday at 20-30 mph with gusts of 40 mph throughout the round.

Villanova will tee off at 10:48 a.m. through 11:24 a.m.
