Wildcat players will wear purple shooting shirts during warm-ups in recognition of this initiative, while the Villanova coaching staff will wear purple shirts and purple sneakers. Pat Summitt, who is the former coach of Tennessee and is the all-time winningest coach in NCAA basketball history, was diagnosed five years ago with alzheimer's disease and passed away last June.
