Villanova Improves On Second Day Of BIG EAST Championship

The Villanova men's golf team moved up one spot on the leaderboard to seventh place during the second day of the BIG EAST Championship Presented by Jeep. The Wildcats carded a team score of 303 (+15) on day two, which was a 19-stroke improvement from the first round.

DePaul leads the tournament by seven strokes, as the Blue Demons have an overall team score of 596 (+20). Seton Hall is in second place at 603 (+27), while Marquette and Butler are tied for third with a score of 613 (+37).

Lucas Trim and Connor Daly paced Villanova in the second round, as each golfer fired a 73 (+1). Trim is currently tied for 10th place, and Daly is one stroke behind in 13th place. Andy Butler shot a 79 (+7) on Monday, and he is tied for 25th place heading into the final round. Zach Egermayer finished with a 78 (+6), which has him tied for 33rd place. Andrew Bowyer carded a score of 83 (+11), and he is in 40th place.
