Okatie, S.C. -The Villanova men's golf team moved up one spot on the leaderboard to seventh place during the second day of the BIG EAST Championship Presented by Jeep. The Wildcats carded a team score of 303 (+15) on day two, which was a 19-stroke improvement from the first round.
DePaul leads the tournament by seven strokes, as the Blue Demons have an overall team score of 596 (+20). Seton Hall is in second place at 603 (+27), while Marquette and Butler are tied for third with a score of 613 (+37).
Lucas Trim and Connor Daly paced Villanova in the second round, as each golfer fired a 73 (+1). Trim is currently tied for 10th place, and Daly is one stroke behind in 13th place. Andy Butler shot a 79 (+7) on Monday, and he is tied for 25th place heading into the final round. Zach Egermayer finished with a 78 (+6), which has him tied for 33rd place. Andrew Bowyer carded a score of 83 (+11), and he is in 40th place.
