Villanova Names Kevin Ahern Director of Ticket Operations

Villanova University Director of Athletics Mark Jackson today announced the hiring of Kevin Ahern as the school's Director of Ticket Operations. Ahern arrives at Villanova from the Philadelphia Union where he worked from 2011-2017. After beginning his stint with the Union as an Account Executive (2011-14), he was promoted to Senior Account Executive in 2014, before becoming the Season Ticket Sales Manager in 2015.

In his role at Villanova, Ahern will be responsible for the day to day activities of the athletic ticket office, to include the sale, processing and reporting of season and single game athletic events, while ensuring a high level of customer and donor service. In addition to overseeing and leading the ticket office, Ahern will be in charge of the integration of donor and season ticket databases, outbound sales, and collaborating with the marketing staff to generate effective ticketing strategies.

During his time with the Union, Ahern was responsible for managing account executives and senior account executives including training and tracking all sales activity. He was personally responsible for generating over $3.9 million dollars through the sale of season tickets, group tickets and premium inventory. He also individually recruited, hired and trained nine new account executives throughout his Union career.

Ahern has also worked for CBS Collegiate Sports Properties, the Philadelphia Eagles Premium Sales Department and Turnkey Sports & Entertainment.

He is a 2007 graduate of Neumann University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management and a minor in Accounting.
