Weekly Wrap: Villanova Announces Top Performers for the Week Ending November 30

New for the 2025-26 academic year, Villanova will announce its top performers from the previous week in a press release and social media post each Monday afternoon. The weekly wrap will recognize one standout student-athlete from each sport who competed during the previous week.

VILLANOVA, Pa.—Before and after the Thanksgiving holiday, Villanova continued rolling in several sports during the week of November 24-30. The week was highlighted by the football team posting the largest postseason margin of victory in program history with a 52-7 result against Harvard in the first round of the FCS playoffs. The men's and women's basketball teams each won their only game of the week, while women's cross country first year runner Zoe Mosher tallied a high finish in the Women's U20 race at the Canadian Cross Country Championships. Mosher, along with men's basketball guard Tyler Perkins (Lorton, Va.), women's basketball junior forward Brynn McCurry (Sparta, N.J.), and football junior running back Isaiah Ragland (Alexandria, Va.) form this week's Villanova Athletics Weekly Wrap.

Men's Basketball
Tyler Perkins, Junior, Guard, Lorton, Va.

Perkins had a game- and season-high 21 points in an 89-75 win over Old Dominion last week. He added seven rebounds, two assists and a steal while shooting 8-of-13 from the field, 3-of-4 from three-point range and 2-of-2 at the foul line. Perkins scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half as the Wildcats pulled away from a four-point halftime margin.

Women's Basketball
Brynn McCurry, Junior, Forward, Sparta, N.J.

Villanova advanced to the championship game of the Big 5 Classic with a 66-54 win at La Salle. McCurry tied a career high and led all scorers with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting. She also led the Wildcats with seven rebounds and five assists. McCurry scored 10 of her points in the final 6:51 of the second quarter to help Villanova forge a 15-point advantage at halftime.

Women's Cross Country
Zoe Mosher, First Year, Pleasantville, N.S.

Coming off a strong start to her collegiate career, Mosher competed closer to home last weekend at the Canadian Cross Country Championships where she tallied a fifth place finish in the U20 Women's race. She ran the 8,000 meter race in 28:51.0 and put herself in position to be named to Team Canada for the World Athletics Cross Country Championships in January. Mosher's finish was especially impressive considering she was running for the third straight week and fourth time in the past five weeks, in addition to moving up to the 8K distance compared with the 6K standard for most collegiate races.

Football
Isaiah Ragland, Junior, Running Back, Alexandria, Va.

Villanova set the tone early in its 52-7 win over Harvard with a 45-yard touchdown run by Ragland on the first series of the contest. It turned out to be a sign of things to come for both the game overall and Ragland individually. He would go on to rush 17 times for a career-high 152 yards in addition to making two receptions for another 18 yards. Ragland had five carries for 14 yards or longer while recording his third career 100-yard rushing game and first this season.
