Jonesborough, Tn. – Villanova Golf wraps up round one of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate hosted by ETSU.
Villanova currently sits in 14
th after finishing the day with a 299 (+11) score.
The Wildcats excelled on Par 5's finishing 4-under-par on them.
Reb Banas had the best round of the day for the Cats finishing at 73 (+1).
Connor Daly finished at 74 (+2),
Mark Benevento and
Matt Davis finished at 76 (+4), and
Jack O'Hara finished at 80 (+8).
Host ETSU currently leads the tournament after round one with a score of 270 (-18) which is the second-lowest round in tournament history. Kent State sits in second place at 276 (-12), and Louisville and Tennessee are tied for third with a score of 277 (-11).
Shiso Go of ETSU and Simon Zach of Louisville each hold a share of the lead with a score of 63 (-9). This ties the single-round tournament record.
