Final Results

MALVERN, Pa.- The Villanova golf team wrapped up play at the annual Wildcat Invitational after carding a final round score of 295 (+11) to earn a combined score of 305-295= 600 (+32) which placed the team in 15^th place. The team returns to action on Monday, Apr. 16 when they compete in the Finegan Invitational.

Drexel won the tournament after shooting combined rounds of 282-291= (+5). Drexel was paced by Rhode Island, St. John's, Iona, Saint Peter's, Delaware, Lehigh, Binghamton, Fordham, Siena, Rider, Wagner, Bucknell, Monmouth, host Villanova, La Moyne, Lafayette, La Salle, and Colgate.

Sophomore captain Connor Daly led the team for the Wildcats as he carded combined rounds of 74-67= 141 (-1) and placed tied for third overall. Senior Andy Butler scored combined rounds of 77-73= 150 (+8) and tied for 43^rd overall. Freshman Matt Barnes shot combined rounds of 77-77= 154 (+12) and placed tied for 70^th. Freshman Reb Banas finished right behind Barnes as he carded rounds of 77-79= 156 (+14) and finished tied for 82^nd. Senior Zach Egermayer rounded out the team score with round of 84-78= 162 (+20) and placed 97^th.

Senior Andrew MacMillan led the individuals as he carded rounds of 72-76= 148 (+6) and finished tied for 29^th overall. Senior Will Byrne shot rounds of 78-76= 154 (+12) and finished tied for 70^th overall. Junior Andrew Bowyer carded rounds of 74-81=155 (+13) which placed him tied for 77^th. Lastly, sophomore Connor Downey shot a round of 90 and placed in 104^th overall.
