VILLANOVA, Pa.- Head coach Jim Wilkes announced today the signing of three non-scholarship members to join the team for the 2018 fall season.

Joining the class of 2022 will be Matt Davis (Newtown Square, Pa), Daniel Dougherty (Wilmington, Del.) and Jack O'Hara (St. Simon's Island, Ga.).

Matt Davis, Newtown Square, Pa., Malvern Prep

Malvern Prep and golf experience: Received distinguished honors at Malvern Prep all four years with a GPA of 4.0 or higher. Four-time member of Varsity Golf at Malvern Prep. Three-time Captain of Malvern Prep Golf Team. Three time "1st Team All Inter Ac" for golf. Two-time Malvern Prep Team MVP. Helped lead Malvern Prep to Inter-Ac League Championship Sophomore Year. Second place individually at the 2015 PAISAA State Tournament. Helped lead Malvern Prep to two PAISSA Golf State Championships in 2015 and 2017. 2017 GAP (Golf Association of Philadelphia) Junior Sportsman of the Year. Named to the 2017 AJGA (American Junior Golf Association) Transamerica Scholastic Junior All American Honor Roll. Individual winner of three of the six Inter Ac Invitationals in 2015 with scores of 32, 34, and 36. Winner of the 2015 GAP Hussey Better-Ball Tournament with fellow Nova golfer Mark Benevento. Four Top 5 finishes on the IJGT tour in 2017. Ninth place finish at the AJGA at Huntingdon Valley in 2017 with scores of 75-70-74. Tied for 15th place at the AJGA at Saucon Valley in 2015 with scores of 76-74-74. Tied for fifth at the 2017 GAP Christman Cup at Stonewall with scores of 72-72. Top 25 finishes in the PA State Junior at Hershey in 2015, 2016, and 2017

Personal: Son to Bill and Debbie Davis who both graduated from Villanova in 1985. Two siblings, Amanda and Mike.

Daniel Dougherty, Wilmington, Del., Tower Hill

Tower Hill and golf experience: 2017 Delaware Junior Champion 2016 and 2017. Delaware State Golf Association Junior Player of the Year. Led Tower Hill to two straight state championship. 2 Time Delaware All-State. Top AJGA finish T-18th at Fords Colony. 2018 US Open Local Qualifier Medalist.

Personal: Born in Wilmington, Delaware. Son to Daniel and Tina Dougherty. Has one sister Veronica.

Wilkes on Dougherty: "We're very excited to have a local player of Danny's caliber join our roster. He's been a standout performer growing up in Delaware, and we're looking forward to seeing him build on those successes at Villanova"

Jack O'Hara, St. Simons Island, Ga., Frederica Academy

Frederica Academy: Won the Georgia state championship for independent schools in 2017 & 2018. Jack was named to the Southeast Georgia All Region team in 2017 and 2018 and holds the school's 18 hole and 9-hole scoring records. Jack finished 5th in the Palmetto High School Golf Championship in 2018, finished 7th in the 2017 NYS Junior Amateur and won the Jacksonville, Jr Shootout in 2017.

Personal: Born in Loudenville, N.Y. Son to Timothy and Collen O'Hara. Has one sister Meghan who attends Villanova.
