Richmond, Va. - After two long rainy days the Janney Invitational hosted by VCU has bee postponed due to rain and flooding on the golf course.
After day one Villanova sat in 11
th shooting +7 as a team. Through 5 holes,
Connor Daly shot +1, and
Mark Benevento shot +4.
Reb Banas was shooting even through 8 holes, while
Jack O'Hara was shooting a +1 through 7,
Matt Davis +2 through 6, and
Danny Dougherty was shooting a -1 in the individual tournament, through 7 holes.
Maryland was leading the field with a score of -4, while defending champion West Virginia was in second with a score of -3. Virginia Tech sat in third shooting -1 then there was a 5-way tie for fourth, consisting of Radford, Richmond, VCU, Penn State, and Old Dominion.
The Wildcats will get back on the course September 28th when they host the Wildcat Fall Invitational. It will be a three-day tournament that will wrap up on Sunday, September 30th.
