Malvern, Pa. – After round two of the Wildcat Fall Invitational, Villanova remains in seventh place.
Mark Benevento led the Wildcats with an incredible round shooting -5 on the day. He totaled five birdies on the day and no bogies, while shooting par on the rest.
Connor Daly also had an impressive day finishing with -1 for round two. Benevento currently sits at even overall while Daly sits at +2.
Villanova rounds out their lineup with
Matt Davis and
Reb Banas shooting +4, and
Jack O'Hara with a +7 (+9 and +12 overall respectively).
In the individual tournament
Connor Downey finished round two with a score of +13 (+23 overall), and
Danny Dougherty finished round two with a score of +17 (+26 overall).
Benevento's score of -5 during round two was the best out of anyone in the tournament so far, and moves up to second overall in the tournament.
Appalachian State continues to lead after round two with a score of +2. Georgetown, Delaware, Seton Hall, St. John's, VCU, and Villanova trail.
