Verona, N.Y. – Villanova has wrapped up their first tournament of the fall season Monday afternoon. They placed 16
th out of the 18 teams in the Turning Stone Tiger Invitational.
Connor Daly led the Wildcats in the tournament with a score of +8,
Mark Benevento followed with a +16, then
Matt Davis finished at +21,
Reb Banas finished +23, and
Jack O'Hara finished +26 in the team portion.
Danny Dougherty competed in the individual tournament and finished in 10
th with a score of +35.
Host Missouri won the tournament by a combined 29 strokes. They finished with a score of -16 and North Dakota State finished 2
nd with a score of +13.
Christian Cavaliere of Boston College had the top score of all golfers finishing the tournament -10.
The Wildcats will get back on the course this weekend for the Doc Gimmler hosted by St. John's in Farmingdale, N.Y.
