Farmingdale, N.Y. – Villanova Golf has wrapped up the first day of The Doc Gimmler Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats currently sit in 12th with a score of 297 (+17). Rhode Island is leading the tournament by a combined 2 strokes after shooting even. Connecticut sits in second with a score of +2. Johnson & Wales, Yale, and Loyola-Maryland round out the top five on day one.
Connor Daly led the Wildcats with a score of 146 (+6), following him was
Jack O'Hara with 147 (+7),
Mark Benevento 149 (+9), and both
Reb Banas and freshman
Matt Davis shot 152 (+12).
Danny Dougherty is once again competing in the individual tournament and is currently in 13
th place finishing up day 1 shooting 157 (+17).
