New York, N.Y.- Kristin Barbour was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and Chloe O'Neill earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Wildcats to a 2-0 week.

Barbour led the Wildcats to a pair of wins last week as the Villanova defense limited its opponents to just six shots on net. VU outshot Seton Hall and DePaul by a combined 13-6 on-target margin, while limiting both squads to just five total corners as Villanova collected 11. The senior added a bit of offense as well, scoring the game-winning goal against DePaul on Sunday, which kept the Wildcats in a tie for second place in the standings.

O'Neill finished second in the BIG EAST in points last week with five off two goals and an assist. The sophomore had a goal at Seton Hall and against DePaul, while adding a dish against the Pirates. Her score against the Blue Demons was the first of three straight for the Wildcats, who went on to win 3-1, while her goal against The Hall was the third of a 5-1 victory after assisting on what proved to be Sam Rosette's GWG.

Villanova will travel to Marquette for their next match scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 20^th at 2:00 P.M. ET.
