VILLANOVA, Pa. – Two consistent pieces of Villanova's lineup throughout the 2025 season have decided to come back to the Main Line in 2026.
Bella Panaccione and
Hannah Dickinson will return to the Blue and White for their sixth and fifth years, respectively.
This past season, the two opened all 18 of the team's contests, combining for 2,999 minutes on the pitch. They were two of nine Wildcats to play in all 18 matches and among four to be in the Opening XI of each one.
Panaccione was on the pitch for a career-high 1408 minutes this season, logging an assist along the way playing with the midfield and defense. She also notched single-season highs in her collegiate career with five shots and two on frame. Before coming to Villanova, she spent four years at Santa Clara, playing in her final three seasons there. In her four total seasons of playing, the Los Altos Hills, Calif. native has accounted for 2324 minutes of action in 44 games played, 23 of those being starts.
Dickinson's second season as a Wildcat was a decorated one, earning All-BIG EAST Second Team and the first United Soccer Coaches All-EAST Region honor for the program since 2019 along the way. She totaled 1588 minutes for the second-most among BIG EAST keepers en route to a 9-8-1 season. Her .964 goals against average and .802 save percentage were both third in the league while the 69 saves she grabbed were second. She anchored the Villanova backline in nine clean sheets, eight of those going down as solo shutouts for the senior. Those put her at second in the conference and 33rd in the nation. She reset her career-best for saves at 15 on the road at No. 12 Georgetown this season. Throughout the season, she was recognized by the conference with weekly honors five times.
The Seattle, Wash. native has gone 14-15-7 as a Wildcat, 22-18-10 overall since her days with USC. She has amassed a .790 save percentage in her three seasons, .801 on the Main Line. She is tied for fifth on the single-season shutout list at eight. On the career ledger of the record book, she is tied for fourth with a 1.10 career goals against average and fifth with 14 shutouts as a Wildcat. Through the 2025 season, Dickinson is 30
