th at the Grandover Collegiate in Greensboro, NC. The team shot 313-319-325 on the weekend to finish with 957 at the 7,245-yard par-72 Grandover Resort Course.
Villanova was led by junior
Reb Banas's 79-78-78-235, the only Nova golfer that stayed under 80 in all three rounds.
Matt Davis finished second for Nova thanks to his first-round 74, the lowest round of any Wildcat during the week. Davis shot 74-81-81-236 in his first start of the year.
Danny Dougherty got better with each round of the tournament carding 83-79-77-239. He carded three birdies in the final round.
The Grandover Course got the best of freshman
Matt Minerva in the final round, as he carded 77-81-89-247 on the weekend.
Freshman
Luke Alexander competed as an individual and shot 81-80-84.
Villanova's next action will be the final competitive round of the fall season at the City 6 Invitational, hosted by Temple in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. on Nov. 9.
