With their win on Sunday the Wildcats have qualified for the BIG EAST Tournament for the first time since 2014. A win for Villanova would guarantee a home match on Sunday, while a loss or draw the Wildcats will travel to the higher seed.
Brice McInroy scored the game winning goal on Sunday on a pass from
Chloe O'Neill during Villanova's 1-0 victory over Providence. This was McInroy's fourth game winning goal of the season, she leads the team with eight goals on the season. Following the win McInroy and O'Neill were both named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. O'Neill has a team high six assists on the season along with four goals for 14 points.
Sam Rosette is the third Wildcats to contribute double digit points this season. The graduate student has 11 points on four goals and three assists.

A Look at Creighton: The Bluejays are 8-6-3 overall and 2-3-3 in BIG EAST play entering Thursday's game. Creighton is still in the hunt to earn a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament, as a win could catapult the Bluejays into the field, but they will need Marquette and Providence to lose or draw. Should MU or PC win, Creighton is eliminated, regardless of the Bluejays' outcome against Villanova.
Skyler Heinrich has a team high 11 goals along with two assists for 24 points; this is the third most points by any player in the conference this season. Ansley Atkinson is the other Bluejay with double digit points this season, the sophomore midfielder has 10 points on two goals and six assists.
Both Katie Sullivan and Keelan Terrell have shared time in goal this season. Terrell played all 110 minutes in Creighton's last game against St. John's. The redshirt freshman has played just under 600 minutes between the posts and has a 1.50 goals against average and a .722 save percentage.
