Villanova (4-6, 0-3) snapped its five game losing streak at home on Sunday, defeating Bucknell (5-5, 1-1) 3-2 in overtime.

The Wildcats continued its trend of allowing opponents to score early, with Bison Emily Doyle scoring less than three minutes into the first quarter.

Villanova evened up the score in the 25
th minute, with senior forward
Lydia Sydnor, assisted by senior forward
Abby Siana, scoring her ninth goal of the season.

The Bison ended the third quarter aggressive on offense, with Doyle scoring her second goal of the game, putting Bucknell up 2-1 with 40 seconds left in the period.

With less than six minutes remaining in the game,
Katie Capalbo scored an unassisted goal, her second of the season, making the score two all.

Neither team scored in rest of regulation, forcing the first 10 minute overtime period.

The golden goal came after seven minutes of play, with Siana, assisted by senior midfielder
Emma McLaughlin, putting the ball into the back of the net.

Both teams ended the game tied for shots taken at 16, while Villanova had a 7-4 advantage in penalty corners taken.
