Wildcats fall at Drexel

Villanova returns to action on Sunday

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova men's tennis team was defeated by the Drexel Dragons 6-1 on Friday afternoon at the Legacy Tennis Center. Sophomore Daniel Martinez got the lone point for the Wildcats by winning 6-4, 6-2 from the No. 6 court. The Wildcats fall to 4-1 on the season while Drexel improves to 4-4.

Drexel won the doubles point by winning on courts No. 1 and No. 3. The doubles team of junior Stefan Suarez and junior Tommy Mulflur won 7-5 from the No. 2 doubles court. They improved to 4-1 this season.

The Wildcats will travel to Annapolis, Maryland to take on Navy and Morgan State on Sunday. Both matches will be played on the campus of the United States Naval Academy.
