Beverly, Mass. - The Villanova men's tennis team defeated Bentley 7-0 on Friday night. The Wildcats improve to
Head coach Bradley Adams on the victory, "Tonight Bentley put up a nice fight especially in doubles where the point was decided by a breaker at one doubles. After a hard fought doubles point the guys really settled down in singles and handled the task before them with a business type of approach. I think that this win is a great start to the weekend and will help get us ready for a formidable UCONN team tomorrow in Connecticut."
The Wildcats lost the doubles match on court no. 3 but then came back and won on courts one and two to secure the doubles point. The winning ways continued in singles play as all six Wildcats won their matches in two sets. The match was clinched on court no. 5 as
Daniel Martinez won 6-4, 7-5.
Villanova returns to action on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at UCONN.
