The Villanova men's tennis team defeated Colgate and Lehigh this weekend. The Wildcats first beat Colgate 6-1 on Saturday and then Lehigh 6-1 on Sunday.

Head coach Brad Adams on the weekend, "Very proud and excited for our players this weekend going up against two very tough Patriot League opponents on the road. All our guys were extremely mentally disciplined and physically tough in their matches and were able to handle the challenges of being on the road for an entire weekend. Both Colgate and Lehigh brought a huge amount of energy during the initial portion of the match, but our guys were able to stay confident and even keel throughout to secure the victories."

Senior Thomas Dodson had a great weekend for the Wildcats by winning all four of his matches on the weekend. Thomas improved to 5-1 on the season.
 
"Tommy Dodson had an unbelievable weekend clinching both team matches and going undefeated (four for four) on the weekend.  All the guys on the team are looking forward to our first home and conference match versus Xavier this upcoming Friday at Bryn Mawr Racquet Club."

On Sunday against Lehigh, the Wildcats won the first double matches 6-1, 6-2. Villanova carried the momentum into the singles matches by winning on the first four courts and clinched the match on court three.
