MILWAUKEE - The Villanova men's tennis team fell to the defending BIG EAST Champions, Marquette Golden Eagles 7-0 at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats drop to 8-8 and 1-2 in BIG EAST play.

In doubles play, the Wildcats' doubles team of Tyler Roth and Thomas Dodson lost a hard fought match on court No. 1 as they fell to Verdu/Meyers 6-4. Marquette won the doubles point after winning 6-1 on court No. 3. 

In singles play, Tommy Mulflur had a tough match on court six as he fell 7-5, 7-5 to Brandon Shanklin. Another close match for the Wildcats was on court No. 3 as Thomas Dodson fell to Brett Meyers 6-4, 7-6. 

Villanova's next match is on Friday March 29th as the Wildcats will host Butler at 6:30 p.m.and Loyola University Maryland on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
