Hellertown, Pa. – Villanova Golf finished up the Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invitational with a 12
th place finish out of the 20-team field.
Robert Morris won the tournament with an overall score of +9. Lafayette A finished second (+13), Bucknell finished third (+14), followed by Iona (+16), Navy (+17), Colgate (+18), Binghamton (+20), St. Peter's (+24), Rider (+25), Bryant (+26), Holy Cross (+29), Villanova (+33), Lehigh (+37), Fordham (+38), Hofstra (+39), Siena (+42), Monmouth (+49), Canisius (+57), Niagara (+81), and Lafayette B (+86).
Mark Benevento finished tied for 18
th out of 115 golfers with a final score of +4.
Danny Dougherty finished just behind him tied for 23
rd with a score of +5.
Matt Davis finished with a score of +11,
Reb Banas finished with a score of +13, and
Jack O'Hara finished with a score of +19.
Chris Tanabe of Bucknell, who led after one round, continued his impressive play and finished with a -3 in the tournament. This was the best score of anyone, with Kritsarin Oukosavanna of Iona finishing just behind with a score of -2.
The Wildcats will be back on the golf course one week from Monday in the Wildcat Spring Invitational.
