VILLANOVA, Pa. - On Wednesday afternoon at the West Campus Courts, the Villanova men's tennis team defeated the Saint Joseph's Hawks 5-2. The win improves Villanova to a record of 10-10 on the 2019 year.

Tommy Mulflur rebounded extremely well getting victories and Mulflur clinching the match against a dangerous opponent. Overall was a great effort from the whole team."
In doubles play the Wildcats duo of
Tyler Roth and
Thomas Dodson won 6-3 on court one and then
Stefan Suarez and
Tommy Mulflur won 7-5 on court two to give Villanova a 1-0 lead going into singles play.
Saint Joseph's tied the match at 1-1 after winning 6-3, 6-2 on court one.
Dylan Flanagan defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-1 and thenÂ
Thomas Dodson won 6-3, 6-3 on court three to give the Wildcats a 3-1 lead.
The Hawks won on court two to make it 3-2 Villanova but
Tommy Mulflur defeated Schaeffer 6-2, 6-3 on court six to clinch the match for the Wildcats.
Villanova's next match is on Saturday April 13th against St. John's at 10:00 a.m. and then later that day the Wildcats will play against Wilkes University at 3:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at the West Campus Courts.
