Villanova, Pa. – Villanova fell to Creighton in game three of the series 8-2.
The first inning brought the Wildcats two runs, but could not cross the plate after that.
Becky Ducar came to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs and ripped a ball to second that would score
Paige Rauch and
Delaney Switzer.
Creighton would get two of their own in the second with a two-run home run, and then would take a 7-2 lead in the third. Their final run would come in the sixth off of an RBI groundout.
Laura Roecker started for the Bluejays and pitched a complete game allowing just two unearned runs.
Rauch finished the game 3-4 and increased her average to .391 on the season.
The upcoming week will feature a road trip to Towson on Wednesday followed by a series at Georgetown on Thursday and Friday.
