Hensley Hancuff was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. Also,
Brice McInroy earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts during the Wildcats 2-0 week.
Hancuff earned two shutout victories last week – a 1-0 clean sheet against Delaware on Thursday and 3-0 victory at Temple on Sunday. With five saves and zero goals allowed, the sophomore lowered her BIG EAST-leading statistics of goals against average (0.21) and save percentage (.933), while also topping the list in total shutouts (three). Hancuff has not allowed a goal in over 282 minutes.
McInroy had two goals, including the game winner, at Temple on Sunday, leading the Wildcats to their second consecutive shutout victory. In the 2-0 week, the sophomore totaled four shots.
Next, the Wildcats will host Florida State on Sunday, September 15
th at 1:00 P.M. at Higgins Soccer Complex.
