Women’s Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

Villanova women's soccer is already working towards the 2020 fall season and will begin their spring games this month.

The spring will feature five opportunities for fans to come see their Wildcats in action.  Villanova will open the spring schedule with four straight home games at Higgins Soccer Complex.
First this Sunday they will open the spring season against Navy at 1:00 P.M. and then just over a month later will host Lafayette on March 28th at the game time.  On April 4th the Wildcats will host Lehigh at 1:00 P.M. and will wrap up the home portion when they host City Six Tournament, which Villanova won last year, on April 18th.  The first game of the tournament is scheduled for 8:00 A.M.

On April 24th will be the final spring action for the Wildcats when they travel to Columbia to take on the Lions as well as Fordham.  Kick off for the first match is scheduled for 5:00 PM.

"We are really excited for what is to come in this spring season," shared sophomore Chloe O'Neill.  "It is the perfect time for everyone to compete and show what we have to offer, especially for our upcoming fall season. The team has really been focusing on our chemistry on and off the field. We are trying to rebuild a program and the progress is showing, but we are expecting even bigger things to come starting this Spring. We are eager to get after it in the fall and we are ready to show what Villanova Women's soccer is all about.

Sam Rosette added, "spring season is so important not just for developing as players, but also developing as teammates. We are focusing a lot this spring on developing and growing our team culture and unity. With the decreased time commitment in the spring, it's a great time for us to develop our fitness, our skills, and our team bond. The  Spring season means so much going into the summer and fall because it is the time where we build the foundation for what we will build on for preseason and season. We get stronger and fitter now, so we are stronger and fitter in season, we build better team culture and bonds so it will be solid during the trials of season. "
