The Associated Press announced its 2019-20 Men's Basketball All-American team on Friday. Villanova forward
Saddiq Bey (Largo, Md./Sidwell Friends School) was an Honorable Mention selection.
Bey led Villanova in scoring at 16.1 points per game during the 2019-20 campaign. He finished fourth in individual NCAA 3-Point Shooting with a mark of .451.
When the BIG EAST Conference announced its honors earlier in the month, Bey joined Seton Hall's Myles Powell and Marquette's Markus Howard as unanimous selections. Powell and Howard were both selected first team Associated Press All-Americans and were joined by the sole unanimous choice to the AP first team, Obi Toppin (Dayton), Luka Garza (Iowa) and Peyton Pritchard (Oregon).
The Wildcats posted a 24-7 record in 2019-20, earning a share of their sixth BIG EAST regular season in the past seven seasons.
