INDIANAPOLIS—In a follow-up release to last week's announcement of national public recognition awards, the NCAA revealed the overall Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores for each school and athletic program on Tuesday afternoon. The latest batch of data gives additional context to several areas in which Villanova student-athletes rank among the best and brightest nationwide for their combination of academic achievement and athletic prowess. Last week saw the Wildcats have 14 of its sport programs earn public recognition for having a multi-year APR score that ranked within the top 10 percent of their sport nationally.
Thirteen of the teams to earn a public recognition award posted a perfect 1000 score in the latest data, which spans the 2015-16 through 2018-19 academic years. Those sport programs included

Villanova had an overall department APR of 997 in the latest release of data.
