VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova senior forward
Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree recently underwent surgery to address a tibial stress fracture in his left leg. The Philadelphia native, who has not yet seen game action in 2020-21 due to the injury, will be sidelined from basketball activities for an undetermined length of time as he recovers.
Â
Cosby-Roundtree previously underwent surgery on his right shin in April 2020 to remove hardware related to an earlier procedure on the same leg.
Â
"Dhamir has been through some difficult medical challenges," said Villanova head coach
Jay Wright. "He continues to persevere and provide leadership and energy for our team. We all pray he can get back to health soon."
Â
In three seasons at Villanova, Cosby-Roundtree has appeared in 105 games, earning 17 starting assignments. In 2017-18 he averaged 11.3 minutes per game for the 2017-18 NCAA national champion Wildcats and as a sophomore in 2018-19 averaged 5.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per outing.

Villanova (10-1 overall, 5-0 BIG EAST) is scheduled to visit Connecticut Thursday at 9 p.m. (FS1 and 95.7 Ben FM Radio) and Seton Hall Saturday at 3 p.m. (Fox and 95.7 Ben FM).
