New York, N.Y. – Villanova had two players recognized by the BIG EAST on Monday afternoon when the league announced its weekly awards, including junior forward Chloe O'Neill (Plantation, Fl.) and goalkeeper Megan McClay (Flower Mound, Tx.). The duo were selected for the weekly Honor Roll after the Wildcats posted a 1-0-1 record for the week.

Veteran Chloe O'Neill played a pivotal role in the Wildcats overtime victory against Seton Hall on Thursday. Trailing 1-0 in the 66^th minute, freshman Emma Weaver (Winnetka, IL.) sent a cross into the box towards O'Neill. As the Pirates goalkeeper left the cage, O'Neill leaped and snuck her header into goal to tie the game. Villanova used that momentum and ousted Seton Hall in double overtime 2-1. In the weekend matchup with St. John's, the Wildcats created an attacking opportunity when O'Neill dished out a pass to Makayla Stadler (Glenview IL.) who beat the Red Storm goalkeeper giving Villanova the lead.

Fellow junior netminder Megan McClay tallied her third weekly award this season following two outstanding performances in net. McClay played over 138 minutes in goal for the Wildcats picking up six total saves while posting an impressive .857 GAA. The junior was flawless in the weekend matchup with St. Johns racking up six saves over 93 minutes in the cage.
 
The Wildcats will return to the pitch on Thursday, March 25 when they travel to UConn for a midweek conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 ET.
