New York, N.Y.- Villanova freshman Emma Weaver was named to the BIG EAST All-Freshman team as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.

All-BIG EAST Teams and major awards were selected by a vote of the league's head coaches who were not allowed to vote for their own players or coaching staff.

The defender/midfielder started in all 15 matches for the Wildcats and dished out three assists.  She had back-to-back games with assists in league play vs. Seton Hall and St. John's. He third came against Providence in the final home match of the season. Weaver also took eight shots and placed five on goal. 

Villanova finished the 2021 spring season 3-10-2 overall and 2-6-2 in league play.
