MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – 
Nolan Danus picked up a third-place showing in the 400 IM, giving him yet another top-10 time in the Villanova record book during the second day of the WVU Invitational on Friday at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park.
The junior posted the best finish of the day for the group. His time of 3:55.90 marks the eighth-fastest time in program history. He now holds three of Villanova's top 10 times in the event. Danus took nearly four seconds off of his prelim time of 3:59.50 in the nightcap.
Both of Villanova's teams in the 800 Free Relay fell into a tight race for fifth with 
Sam Randall, 
Gavin Jones, 
Alex Hamill and 
Henry Gingrich taking the spot with a 6:52.17 finish. 
Reid Hutcherson, 
Ryan Maher, 
Jake McIntyre and 
Charlie Hinckley finished sixth in 6:53.99.
Hutcherson posted a 1:41.17 in the Championship Final of the 200 Free, earning him a seventh-place finish. Hinckley finished second in the Consolation Final, 10
th overall with a time of 1:40.81 while McIntyre was 12
th at 1:41.47.
Also in the Championship Final of the 400 IM with Danus was 
Henry Halloran, finishing eighth at 4:05.33. 
Aubrey Bowles swam in the Consolation Final, finishing 13
th with a time of 4:05.24.
Ryan Maher reset his personal best in the 100 Fly with a 49.86 in the prelims before posting a 50.02 time that landed him fourth in the Consolation Final and 12
th overall. Halloran made the Consolation Final of the 100 Breast, finishing 16
th overall with a 58.31.
Chris Jones earned a spot in the night's finals of the 3-meter dives. He finished up 10
th with a finals score of 275.55.
With one day of action left, Villanova sits at sixth in the field with 538 points. Saturday kicks off at 10 a.m. with 100 Free, 200 Breast and platform diving prelims. The final events of the day at 6 p.m. will also feature the 400 Free Relay and 1650 Free.
