VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova men's golf team finished its home fall tournament in third place out of the six-team field, totaling an 866 from its six-man lineup at Radnor Valley CC.
The Wildcats' lineup was headlined by a pair of top-10 finishers in Ryan Pamer (5th) and Peter Weaver (10th).
Pamer, a freshman competing in his second collegiate event, broke even for the tournament with a total of 210 and a low round of 68. Weaver finished at six-over for the invitational, carding a best of one-over in the first round.
'Cats Matt Minerva and Luke Alexander competed as individuals. Minerva ended the tournament at 14th after totaling a 10-over, which included a low of 69 in round two. Alexander finished a spot behind his teammate (T-15th) after putting up an 11-over across the two day event.
Freshman Joshua Lavely tallied an overall score of 14-over to rank T20.
Jason Lohwater contributed a 17-over for the Wildcats, with a low round of 71 coming on Monday morning. Vimal Alokam carded a three-over in the final 18 to also finish at +17 for the event, putting himself and Lohwater in T25 on the leaderboard.
Kyle Kinnane's day was highlighted by a hole-in-one on hole 16, the only Wildcat to record an ace this year. The Loyola Marymount transfer ended the competition in 31st at 20-over.
UP NEXT: The 'Cats have next week off, but return to action on Sunday, Oct. 9 at the Xavier Invitational. VU will compete in the three-day tournament at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio.
