GLEN COVE, N.Y. — Villanova finished the first day of the Nassau Invitational in third place.
The Wildcats shot a combined 25 over, seven strokes behind Rhode Island (+18) in second and 16 strokes behind the leader Long Island U. (nine over).
Peter Weaver in round one shot five over (75) and was in a tie for 23rd place. In round two he shot four over (74). After two rounds Weaver is nine over and in a tie for 17th place.
Ryan Pamer shot even par (70) in round one and sat in a tie for the lead. He mirrors that performance in round two shooting even par. He sits in a tie for second place.
Josh Lavely shot seven over (77) in round one, placing him in a tie for 32nd. Lavely improved in round two shooting three over (73). He sits in a tie for 20th place with a combined score of 10 over.
PJ O'Rourke finished round one in a tie for third place shooting one over (71). In round two he shot six over (76) and sits in a tie for 13th.
Jackson Lehner finished round one shooting 10 over. He sat at a tie for 43rd. Lehner improved on that score in half, shooting five over (75). He sits in a tie for 38th.
Freshman
Peter Barros played well in the individual position. He ended round one in a tie for seventh place, shooting two over (72). He followed his first-round performance cutting off two strokes to shoot even (70). The freshman sits in a tie for fifth place.
