GLEN COVE, N.Y. — Villanova finished in third place of the Nassau Invitational.
The Wildcats shot a combined 34 over, eight strokes behind Rhode Island (+26) in second and 13 strokes behind the leader Long Island U. (+21).
Peter Weaver improves from his first day shooting even par (70) in the final round. He finishes the invitational nine over and in a tie for eighth place.
Ryan Pamer shot four over (74) in the final round. The sophomore finishes four over overall and at a tie for third place.
Josh Lavely finishes the third-round shooting four over (74). He places himself in a tie for 15th at the invitational, shooting a total of 14 over in three rounds.
PJ O'Rourke finished the invitational 16 over and in a tie for 24th. In round three he shot nine over (79).
Jackson Lehner one over (71) in round three adding four birdies on the day. The transfer finishes the invitational 16 over and in a tie for 24th place.
Freshman
Peter Barros shot five over in round three. After three days he finishes seven over and a in seventh place.
