HAVERFORD, Pa.—Fifth year
Madison Martinez (Gahanna, Ohio) led a contingent of Villanova runners who placed 4-5-6 at the Haverford Invitational on Thursday afternoon. Several of the Wildcats middle distance runners competed in the four-mile race as they gear up for competition on the track in the coming months. Martinez recorded a time of 18:21.6 on the Alumni Course at Haverford.

Alex Stasichin (Massapequa, N.Y.) and freshman
Sarah Butler (Fair Haven, N.J.) crossed the finish line consecutively and were less than 13 seconds apart. Stasichin came in fifth with a time of 18:25.3 and Butler followed with a sixth place finish and a time of 18:34.0 in her collegiate debut.

Caelen O'Leary (Taunton, Mass.) and senior
Kate Flynn (Gray, Tenn.) also placed in Thursday's race with times of 19:47.8 and 20:42.7, respectively. The meet consisted of mostly individual runners representing the Wildcats along with Penn, Saint Joseph's, Haverford, and Jefferson.
