PALM CITY, Fla. – The Villanova golf team used a strong third day to finish in 13th place at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, hosted by UNCG at Hammock Creek Golf Course.
VU totaled 899 strokes over the three days in the Sunshine State, using a 292 third round to bump the team up into 13th.
Ryan Pamer finished atop the Villanova lineup and tied for 18th on the overall leaderboard, improving each day to finish with a four-over for the three rounds. Pamer ended the competition with an even-par performance in round three after shooting three-over and one-over in the first two rounds.
Peter Weaver performed consistently throughout the event, totaling rounds of one-under, four-over and two-over to tie for 24th on the leaderboard.
Jonathan Elkins began his junior season on the right foot, shooting a nine-over to finish tied for 45th in the field. The Massachusetts native shot a 73 in each of the final two rounds, including an eagle on the second hole of his final 18.
Vimal Alokam bounced back from a ten-over in round two with a three-over on the final day, placing T-91st in the field. Jason Lohwater ended the event strong with a one-over on the last day, finishing with a 24-over in Florida.
Individual competitor Kyle Kinnane ended with a 27-over, including a low round of five-over on the opening day of the invitational. Fellow individual Joshua Lavely had his best round on Monday, totaling a four-over in round two and finishing at +28 overall.
