HAMILTON, N.Y. – After day one at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial, the Villanova golf team sat alone in second place and a tie for the lowest round of the day.
The Wildcats finished the first two rounds with three individuals in the top 10.
Peter Weaver completed the day at a tie for fifth place among all golfers with scores of 72 and 69 for a 36- hole total of 141.
Ryan Pamer and
Joshua Lavely both finished with a 36-hole total of 143 rounding out the top 10. Pamer shot a 73 on the first 18 with a follow up of 70 on the next. Lavely shot a 75 on the first 18 holes and responsed with a strong 68 which tied for lowest round of the day among all golfers.

PJ O'Rourke and junior
Vimal Alokam both shot a 153 combined score. Alokam began with a 76 on the first 18 and then shot a 77 on the next. O'Rourke improved on his first 18 holes of a 79 with a 74 on the next 18. This puts the two at tie for 47th place.
Jonathan Elkins finished up right behind the ties for 47th place with a 36-hole score of 154. He opened his season with a 78 on the first 18 holes then improved with a 76 on the next.
The Wildcats finished as a team with a combined score of 577, trailing Yale who shot a combined 564.
The 'Cats look to catch Yale this Sunday as they return for the last round of the Alex Lagowitz Memorial.
