VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Wildcats will be taking on two events this week. On Monday and Tuesday, five 'Cats will be traveling to Westfield, N.J., to participate in the 40
th annual Georgetown Intercollegiate at Echo Lake Country Club.
Six VU golfers will be heading down the shore as individuals to take part in the Chestnut Hill Invitational in Cape May Court House, N.J., at Union League National Golf Club. Each lineup contains one golfer making their season debut.
GEORGETOWN INTERCOLLEGIATE
The field of twelve, aside from Villanova and the host, Georgetown, includes Campbell, Columbia, Delaware, George Mason, Loyola Maryland, Penn, Princeton, Saint Joseph's, Towson, and William & Mary.
The tournament will follow a 54-hole format over two days. Two rounds will be played on Monday, and the final round of 18 will take place on Tuesday.
This will be the first time that the Wildcats have participated in a tournament hosted by Georgetown since 2007.
The event will start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday and 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday with shotgun starts. Live stats for the Georgetown tournament can be found

Ryan Pamer lands in the number one spot for the third consecutive tournament. He finished tied for 24
th place his last time out at the UConn Invitational, shooting par (72) in each of the first two rounds. Pamer has placed within the top 30 of all individual participants in every tournament dating back to the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, which was played in March of 2024.
Vibhav Alokam was Villanova's highest finisher at the 'Cats previous tournament at the UConn event, placing tied for 11
th at four over par. He has finished in the top two in each of his first three collegiate tournaments. Alokam recorded his lowest round of the season last week, shooting three under (69) in round two up in Massachusetts.
Matt Zerfass will tee off third for VU. He comes off his second tournament as a Wildcat, where he tied for 15
th place, shooting five over par. He also recorded his season low round at the UConn Invitational when he shot four under par (68) in round two.
Ian Love will be making his second appearance of his collegiate career; he played in The Doc Gimmler as an individual, in which he placed 55
th.
Rounding out the lineup in Westfield will be
Peter Barros. He will be competing in his first event of the season. The Maryland natives last time out at the Wildcat Spring Invitational, he finished tied for 5
th at one under par.
CHESTNUT HILL INVITATIONAL
VU is sending six golfers down to Cape May Court House, N.J. to participate in the Chestnut Hill Invitational.
There will be five other teams besides Chestnut Hill competing for the team title, but the six Wildcats will compete as individuals. Chowan, Goldey-Beacom, Jefferson, Muhlenberg, and Wilmington (Del.) will be competing as teams in Cape May Court House.
This is the first time that the Griffins will be hosting a tournament since 2021 and the first time they will be hosting at Union League National. Live stats for the Chestnut Hill tournament can be found on Golf Genius.
CHESTNUT HILL PARTICIPANTS

Vimal Alokam will be competing in his second event of the season. He took part in the UConn Invitational as an individual, where he placed 73
rd. He shot five over (77) in round three, which ranked second amongst the Wildcat golfers in that round.
Cameron Besaw took on the first two tournaments of the season and returns to action in this event. He holds a stroke average of 76.2 and had a highest finish of tied for 53
rd at The Doc Gimmler.
Joshua Lavely tied for 59
th his last time out at the UConn Invitational and comes into the Chestnut Hill Invitational with a season stroke average of 78.8.
Jackson Lehner will take part in his third consecutive event. He placed tied for 42
nd in The Doc Gimmler, helped by a first day score of 144 (71-73).
Nathan Marion will compete in his third event of the year. He played in the first two tournaments, averaging a stroke average of 75 and tied for 29
th at the Alex Lagowitz Invitational.
Gus Vickers will be making his first appearance as a Wildcat after spending four seasons at Stevens Institute of Technology, where he was a two-time MAC Freedom Golfer of the Year and four-time All-Conference First Team honoree. After the 2023-24 season, he was named a GCAA Ping Division III All-American Honorable Mention.
THE COURSES
Echo Lake Country Club's course, which will host the Georgetown Intercollegiate, was designed in 2013 by famed course designer Donald Ross. Ross also designed the courses of LuLu Country Club, a frequent host of Villanova home tournaments, and the opulent Aronimink Golf Club, where the 'Cats will be hosting the 2024 Big 5 Championship.
The club has hosted many tournaments throughout its history. It has nationally hosted the 1994 USGA Junior Amateur and 2002 USGA Girls' Junior Amateur. Most recently, Echo Lake was the site of the 2023 Metropolitan Junior Championship.
Union League National Golf Club, where the six individuals will play at the Chestnut Hill Invitational, was named the 15
th best course in New Jersey by Golf Digest in 2023. The course is a par 72 that is 6,885 yards long. This will be the shortest course in length that the 'Cats have played thus far in the 2023-24 season.
UP NEXT
Next week, the Wildcats will travel back to the Empire State for the third time this season to play at the Nassau Intercollegiate at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, N.Y., hosted by Long Island University. A tournament in which they took third last season.
