Golf Concludes Day One of Nassau Intercollegiate

Pamer and Zerfass are tied for 16th at +6

GLEN COVE, N.Y. – The Wildcats are in eighth place at 32 over par (592) after two rounds of play at the Nassau Intercollegiate. They completed the first round tied for sixth after shooting +20 (300). In the second round, the 'Cats improved eight strokes, shooting +12 (292) as a team.

Oklahoma Christian currently sits in first place as a team at 10 over par (276-294=570).

Ryan Pamer finished the first day of competition at two over (72) and totaled a 74 (+4) in round two, helping him finish in 16th place after day one. He tied for the lead among the 'Cats for birdies with five across the two rounds. Pamer shot even par (34-36=70) on the back nine on the day, where all but one of his birdies took place as well.

Matt Zerfass shot five over (75) in the first round and one over (71) on his second trip around for a total score of 146. He is currently six over par and tied for 16th place alongside Pamer.

Gus Vickers is tied for the highest placed individual after day one. He shot 74 (+4) and 73 (+3) in the first two rounds of play. The 73 marks Vickers' lowest round as a Wildcat. He is tied for 24th place.

Joshua Lavely is tied for 34th after the first two rounds at nine over par (149). He shot six over (76) in round one but followed up shooting three over (73) on his second time around. Lavely also had five birdies, where familiarity may have played a role as four of them took place in round two.

Jackson Lehner completed the first two rounds with a score of +11 (151). He shot seven over (77) in round one and four over (74) in round two. He is currently tied for 43rd place after day one.

Vibhav Alokam shot four over in round two (74). He received a scorecard DQ after round one.

UP NEXT
The Nassau Intercollegiate will continue through tomorrow, with the second round teeing off between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. with an awards ceremony immediately following the conclusion of play. The 'Cats will be back in action on Thursday, when they host the Big 5 Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa.
