NEW YORK – Ryan Pamer has won the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week for the week of November 5, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The junior took on Aronimink Golf Club for the first time when Villanova hosted the Big 5 Championship and shot one over 71 to capture the individual title. Pamer prevailed by three strokes and led all competitors by birdying three holes. This was the second individual championship he has won this season, as he won the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational in September.
Villanova has now won three straight individual titles at home events dating back to the spring 2023 season.
Pamer is the third golfer in Villanova history to receive this award twice in the athletic year, preceded by Connor Daly and
Peter Weaver. He is the first in the program's tenure to achieve the honor two times in one semester.
According to Clippd rankings, Pamer finished the fall season sixth out of all golfers in the BIG EAST with 33.59 event points and rose 198 spots in the total Division I rankings with the win at the Big 5 Championship.
Villanova Men's Golf will return to action in the spring. The spring 2025 schedule will be released later this year.
