VILLANOVA, Pa – Villanova swimming and diving is set for a three meet week with men and women both hosting. The women will be hosting Penn and the men will host Providence, with both team set to travel to La Salle.
On Wednesday, the women's team will host Penn at the Villanova Swim Complex starting with diving at 4pm. The last time the Wildcats and Quakers faced each other, the Quakers won with a score of 171.5-120.5. Both Villanova and Penn enter this meet undefeated. Penn had overcome Richmond and East Carolina.
On Friday the Wildcats will be on the road to La Salle with the meet starting at 5pm. In last year's match up against Villanova men's team and La Salle men's team, the Wildcats came out on top 169-108. This year the Explorers are coming into this match up 0-3, losing to Towson, John Hopkins and Drexel. The Villanova women's team won 190-102 against La Salle last year. The Explores are 1-2 going into their matchup with Villanova, beating John Hopkins but losing to Towson and Drexel.
The men's team will host providence back in the Villanova Swim Complex on Saturday starting at 6:30pm. Providence is coming off of losing streak heading into their match up with the Wildcats. The Friar's have lost to Fairfield, Iona and Bryant. In last year's faceoff, the Wildcats won 112-93.
