WEST PALM BEACH, FL. — Villanova completed two match play rounds on day one of BIG EAST match play. 

Round 1
Xavier defeated Villanova 5-2.

Peter Weaver took down Mason Witt (2&1).  Weaver finished round one second in birdies (six) and the led the field in Par 3 scoring (three under).

Ryan Pamer defeated Justin Gabbard (1 up). Pamer finished round one with four birdies.

Joshua Lavely fell to Ray Filter (3&2).

Vimal Alokam loses to Jack Korotcoff (7&6).

PJ O'Rourke fell to A.J. Wilhelm (3&2).

Peter Barros loses to Zach Burton (4&2).

Jackson Lehner fell to AJ Adams (3&2).

The Wildcats moved to the consolation bracket for round two where they took on DePaul.

Round 2
DePaul defeated Villanova 4-2-1.

Peter Weaver and Ryder Henares ended their match in a tie.  Peter finished fourth among golfers in total birdies (10).

Ryan Pamer defeated Noah Kolar (3&1) and is the lone Wildcat to win both matches today.

Joshua Lavely fell to Artemiy Yalovenko (2 up).

Vimal Alokam lost Conor Glennon (1 up).

PJ O'Rourke fell to Alex Vekich (4&3).

Peter Barros lost to Billy Gneiser (7 up).

Jackson Lehner defeated Aarjav Patel (6 up).
