GLENSIDE, PA. — Villanova wins Wildcat Spring Invitational for the second year in a row at Lulu Country Club.
After three rounds the Wildcats shot two under, 13 strokes better than second place finisher, Saint Joseph's.
Villanova had three golfers finish in the top 5 of the leaderboard and four in the top 10.
Peter Weaver
Peter Weaver finishes seven under par and in first place for the second year in a row at the Invitational. In round three the senior shot two under (70), adding three birdies and an eagle.
Weaver led the field in total birdies with 15, had the best scoring average on Par 3s with a -3 average and tied for second in par 4 scoring average at even par.
Ryan Pamer
Ryan Pamer finishes in second place shooting four under par, three strokes behind teammate
Peter Weaver. Pamer shot even par (71) in round three and added an eagle on the day.
For the Invitational, Ryan had the best scoring average on par 4s with a -2 average and recorded 10 birdies.
Peter Barros
Peter Barros placed in a tie for fifth and shot one under after three rounds at the Wildcat Spring Invitational. The freshman shot one over (72) in round three on Tuesday.
Barros recorded a tie for most pars over three rounds (36), tied for second in best scoring average on Par 5s (-6) and one of two golfers to score two eagles.
Jackson Lehner
Jackson Lehner finished 10th after three rounds, shooting two over. In round three, Lehner shot one over (71).
Jackson finished with 10 birdies over the three rounds.
Vimal Alokam
Vimal Alokam finishes tied for 14th, shooting six over. On day three the junior shot 3 over (74).
On Par 3s, Vimal finished in a tie for fourth place with an even par average.
Nathan Marion
In the final round, Marion shot his best round of the invitational, 1 over (72). The freshman finished nine over and in a tie for 24th.
Jonathan Elkins
Jonathan finished round three shooting three over. The seniors' total score for the three rounds is nine over and in a tie for 24th.
Elkins recorded nine birdies in the Invitational.
PJ O'Rourke
PJ O'Rourke finished tied for 28th and 10 over at the Invitational. In round three O'Rourke shot two over.
The grad transfer produced eight birdies.
Joshua Lavely
Josh Lavely finishes the Invitational tied for 40th, finishing 15 over. In day three, the sophomore shot seven over (78).
