NORMAN, Okla. – The 2023-24 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for Division I were announced on Thursday by the Golf Coaches Association of America with five Wildcats earning a spot on the prestigious list, and the 'Cats were also named a GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award recipient.

Jackson Lehner,
PJ O'Rourke,
Ryan Pamer and
Peter Weaver were among the 531 NCAA Division I athletes named to the list, representing 180 schools across the country. Villanova was one of 25 Division I schools to have at least five recipients with the only other BIG EAST school being Marquette to reach that threshold.
Elkins appeared in seven tournaments during his final season, all as a part of the starting lineup. He scored at a 75.18 average through 17 rounds. He competed in the first five events of the fall, tying for 13th at the Big 5 Invitational for his top finish of the year. He returned from injury to appear in the lineup for both the Wildcat Spring and his first career BIG EAST Championship.
Lehner appeared in seven tournaments in his debut season with a 74.69 average in 16 rounds of action. He made his Villanova debut with a 77 at the Big 5 Invitational and later went on to pick up a pair of wins over DePaul and St. John's at the BIG EAST Match Play event. The freshman led the lineup with a tie for 31
st at Daytona Beach and earned his first top-10 finish with a two-over 215 at the Wildcat Spring Invitational, shooting a season-low 69.
O'Rourke finished his career with a 75.42 scoring average through all 26 rounds of action the Wildcats played in 11 tournaments of his lone year on the Main Line. He recorded a pair of top-20 finishes on the year, including his first as a Wildcat at the Big 5 Invitational. He was Villanova's top finisher at the BIG EAST Championship with a seven-over showing over the three rounds, tying for 17
th.
Much like O'Rourke, Pamer also competed in all 26 rounds, compiling a 72.38 average along the way, the second-best average on the team this season. The sophomore logged seven top-20 finishes, two of those in the top-five and four in the top-10. He finished as high as second on the year with a four-under showing in the team's win at the Wildcat Spring Invitational. He also led the Villanova lineup with a third-place finish at Nassau to close out the fall, finishing four-over.
Weaver was the third Wildcat of the year to play in all 11 tournaments, leading Villanova with a 72.35 average in his final campaign. He picked up two wins in his senior season, finishing atop the field at the Big 5 Invitational and the Wildcat Spring Invitational, repeating as the medalist in the team's honor tournament. He totaled six top-10 finishes on the year and was named the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week twice.
