RICHMOND, Va. – Villanova Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving have earned a spot on the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2024 semester. This latest achievement marks the 18
th consecutive semester that both teams have made their way on the ledger.
The CSCAA selected 722 teams from 417 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2024 semester. These teams, representing a total of 17,162 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester. To qualify, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Spring 2024 semester. Villanova was two of 563 teams that achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above. Both teams checked in with team GPAs of 3.68.
This is the third time this season that the Wildcats have been honored for their work in the classroom. In April, five Wildcats were lauded as College Sport Communicator Academic All-District athletes with four of them being chosen as Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area selections.
