NEW YORK – Following his performance, which included an individual championship at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational,
Ryan Pamer has been named the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week for the week of Sept. 9, the conference office announced Wednesday.
This award follows him shooting six under par (138) through 36 holes and capturing the individual title. On Saturday, September 1, he made his presence known amongst the field of 100 golfers from 16 schools, shooting five under (67) and getting to the top of the leaderboard tied for first on day one. Day two was more of the same, as he stayed under par and shot one under (71) to remain in the top spot. He helped the Wildcats achieve a fourth place finish out of 15 teams.
This is Pamer's fifth honor given to him by the BIG EAST through his first three seasons. He earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and All-BIG EAST Second Team in 2022-23 and has twice been named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team. This honor makes him the second Wildcat golfer in the last three weeks dating back to last season to be named the BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week when
Peter Weaver won it for the week of April 23.
Pamer and the 'Cats head back up to New York from Sept. 16-17 to compete in The Doc Gimmler Red & Black, hosted by St. John's University.
