FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – After the first day at The Doc Gimmler Red & Black, the Wildcats find themselves in ninth place out of the field of 12 teams.
Through the first day, playing on Bethpage Red, the 'Cats finished eight strokes over par. Which landed them in eighth place through the first 18 holes. On their second trip through the course, they were able to shoot even par as a team, moving them into ninth place, still at eight over.
After the first 36 holes, Columbia is in the lead at five under, helped by shooting four under in round two. All stats from day one, including hole-by-hole and the full leaderboard can be found

Ryan Pamer finished day one in the top 10 tied for ninth. He started off his first time through the course shooting two over par (72) but was able to readjust and shoot four under (66) his second time around.
Vibhav Alokam continued his strong freshman start finishing even on the day. He was the second Wildcat to dial up a round under par, shooting one under in round one (69). Alokam followed that up by shooting one over in his second go-around (71). He currently stands tied for 16
th.
Jackson Lehner finished the first day with a 71 in round one and 73 in round two, good for a 36-hole total of 144.
Cameron Besaw finished the first round at six over par (76) but was able to jump up the leaderboard by shooting even in round two (70) which has him tied for 46
th.
Ian Love is tied for 53
rd place at eight over par through round one of his first collegiate outing. He ranks fifth out of the nine golfers registered as individuals.
Nathan Marion finished tied for 64
th at 11 over.
UP NEXT: The Wildcats will play the final round tomorrow, teeing off at 9:00 a.m. This round will take place on the Black course at Bethpage State Park golf course.
